Since founded, LA MORRA has researched,
prepared and performed a number of concert programs covering
a wide range of styles. The main strands of the ensemble's work
have been:
- polyphony, northwards and southwards
of the Alps, c1400-early 1500s
- 'ars nova' and 'ars subtilior' of the 14th century
- musical culture of Central and Eastern Europe, c1400-c1500
- textless and instrumental music before c1500
- Latin and vernacular monody and polyphony c1200-c1300 (to lesser extend)
LA MORRA's concert programs fall within two categories: (1) freely developed thematic creations, and (2) thematic creations tailored to the event's topic or motto.
Presenters considering offering
a concert of LA MORRA in their events are
strongly encouraged to look at the following pre-configured
programs proposals first:
ARS AMANDI
Courtly Love Song, c1200-c1500
(4 musicians)
FLOUR
DE BEAULTÉ
Late Medieval Songs From Cyprus

Requests for
custom-made concert programs are welcome.
Please describe your idea and we will be happy to prepare for
you a program proposal including calculation of costs.
PLEASE NOTE: developing new programs is a
time-consuming process; also, you want to ensure ensemble's availability;
therefore, please submit your request at least 12 months prior to
the event. Requests on shorter notice will be considered
but will only be accepted if availability and time capacities
are sufficient. An extra fee may apply.
Among commisioners of our custom-made programs
were:

branches), Belgium
- Organisatie Oude Muziek, The Netherlands
- Schola Cantorum Basiliensis / Freunde Alter Musik Basel, Switzerland
